The production process of hot-dip galvanized iron wire involves multiple key steps, each of which directly affects the quality of the final product. The following is a summary based on relevant information:
Pre treatment process: Before galvanizing, the iron wire needs to go through steps such as degreasing, water washing, acid washing, and water washing to remove surface oil stains, oxide scales, and other impurities, ensuring the adhesion of the zinc layer. Subsequently, the workpiece will be immersed in a plating aid solvent (such as zinc chloride or ammonium chloride solution) and dried to form a protective film to prevent further oxidation. The drying temperature is usually controlled at about 250 ℃, and it needs to be immediately immersed in zinc solution after drying to avoid the failure of the plating aid.
Hot dip galvanizing operation: The temperature of the zinc solution is generally controlled between 440-460 ℃, and the specific temperature needs to be adjusted according to the thickness, material, and geometric shape of the iron wire (for example, thinner iron wires may use lower temperatures). When immersing in zinc solution, slow or intermittent speed should be maintained to reduce splashing, and the immersion time should be controlled (usually 2-6 minutes, depending on the wire specifications). After immersion in zinc, the workpiece needs to be slowly lifted out of the zinc liquid level, and the excess zinc liquid should be allowed to flow back to the zinc pot using an inclined angle, while promptly removing drips and excess zinc.
Post treatment and quality control: After galvanizing is completed, the workpiece should be immediately cooled, and the recommended cooling water temperature is maintained at 50-80 ℃ (for easily deformed workpieces, it can be increased to 80-95 ℃) to prevent oxidation and deformation of the zinc layer. The coating thickness is usually 45-300 microns and must comply with standards such as GB/T15393. During the entire process, attention should also be paid to cleaning the surface oxide layer of the zinc liquid, inspecting the equipment, and taking protective measures to ensure process stability.
These key points together ensure the anti-corrosion performance and appearance quality of hot-dip galvanized iron wire.
